Painter Mark Kostabi epitomized the late ’80’s art craze in New York City, selling his paintings to celebrities and collectors for vast sums of money.

He also became notorious in the New York art world when it was revealed that his studio was populated with several minimum wage assistants that not only helped with painting but contributed ideas. Diana Gentleman was his chief assistant and ideas person.

Foster uses martial arts and pop psychology to “dumb down” Winston, into an ethnic caricature, allowing Winston to discover his ‘inner Chinaman.’

Broadcast Nationally in Canada on: CBC Mixed Flicks and sold to numerous countries internationally. The film also played at 20 plus festivals across N.A. including WSFF, NSI, Methodfest – Los Angeles, Palm Springs International, Worldfest in Houston Texas, where it won a Platinum Remi for Best Comedy and the Yorkton FF, where it won a Golden Sheath for Best Comedy.
